Mika up to 5 PP goals in 10 games. Still none at even strength. Does he break 40 PPG?

Yeah sorry. Kravtsov can't be anywhere near the NHL until he puts some meat on his bones. It's one thing to be shifty like Fox and Bread and avoid hits.
Bread is wiry strong. Kravtsov needs man strength. Maybe he can train and eat with KK off season ?

Kravtsov trying to hustle and win that puck but man he has no idea how to handle the physicality in the league. He doesn’t look close to ready as a player.
The guy that hit him is a giant....not many gonna come out on the good end of that. He's having a really unfortunate start

The team wasn't demanding the same pressure and effort on the boards. He keeps getting hurt on the boards, 2 years of hockey where he didn't need to be aware on the boards and it seems like he didn't pick up a weight (I know he did) is showing here in the NHL. This is why he should've gone to the AHL and developed. There has to be a part of him now constantly thinking he screwed himself by not doing that bc he is so physically unready for this level
I'm afraid you're right. I defended him before that going back to the KHL wouldn't be as bad developmentally for him as people were making it out to be, but clearly I was wrong. Not working through it in the AHL was a terrible decision to his development. You have to wonder if he just accepted the AHL assignment the first time if he would have been a call up by December and took off from there.

It's clear he is trying to do things he isn't physically able to do bc he is trying to prove it to the coaches and team, that he is here and committed. The issue is he isn't physically strong enough to do what he is trying to do and he is constantly putting himself in harms way. You can't fault him right now bc his effort is there. This is where the issue is from the past two years though. He should've been in NA

The way he went in there was really unsafe. I appreciate the effort. I really do. But kids reaching and lunging and putting himself in one vulnerable position after another. It's like watching Petr Prucha all over again.

He's not only getting hurt when The Mountain hits him, though. It is abundantly clear that going back to Russia set his body back a full year at this point. He looks much weaker than he did last year.

imagine if this was oettinger, no change were scoring

also someone photo kravtsovs face on to the Randy Marsh 'I ain't hear no bell' meme

@EdJovanovski it’s about time to save face and admit how wrong you are. On a site with astute arm chair scouts. I respect you didn’t jump so yet, but man you are seeing this right? lol

Not trying to call you out too hard but you’ve made yourself the center for all things VK.

The guy is 3 years into his career, made a mess of it all, and after all this is wildly just unprepared for NHL hockey. There’s no excuse for being this weak, slow, and not about to handle the pace of play after a load of NHL games. Not even his first go around. So brutal for a top 10 pick. He had amazing men’s league skill, there’s no doubting his vision and hands are world class when he’s playing inferior quality opponents.

He is way outclassed here. I’ve never been on VK like most people, felt it was super reactionary. Not anymore, plenty of body of work to judge. Wtf was he preparing for the last 3 years?

It's water under the bridge now. He's here trying and trying hard. He needs 2 months off to do training w the nyr staff for strength. He needs that buch break for physical develop. Unfortunately he grabbed his head after that hit so he may have some time off

We need to try and utilize conditioning assignments to the AHL for him. Get him ice time but also let him just work out and free up a roster spot up here.

Again, I am just unclear how they work under the current CBA.
