Markov was individualisssssAlways great to remember how Bergevin refused to give Markov an extra year yet gave Alzner a long term contract.

He may not even get an NHL contract next year so this could possibly be his last game in an NHL uniformPearson!? Why? What for? He won't even be with the team next year.
So just like Ylonen? :-PHe may not even get an NHL contract next year so this could possibly be his last game in an NHL uniform
Hope Slaf nets his 20th to end the season.
I doubt it.They have never done it before and it has cost themDo the Habs really want to win, and by doing so fall 2 spots in the draft order (behind Arizona and Ottawa)?
I would think they are playing half the farm in the last game, to secure an even better draft pick. In situations like this, it’s probably better to think long term for the franchise.
WellI was saying exactly this around this time last year
5,250,000.00 $He gets what $5,000,000.00 per appearance?
Matheson - Mailloux
Hutson - Savard
Struble - Barron
This post just brought me so much joy.I didn’t knew he had already met Hutson
Thing is the habs in the '80s and into the '90s had a ridiculously good defense corps. They could lose pretty good players for nothing and not care. The GMs didn't realize, traded a bunch for worse guys, and didn't realize they had to value their prospects. In any case they didn't value the right prospects. So many picks and so many trades trying to get big, mediocre D-men. They spent years going after Quintal, who was adequate but not a guy you would target. So many big, slow D-men drafted high and busted.I guess, I was thinking more about a mindset that gives up too early whether it's by trade or waivers. There will always be regrettable losses though
