Good to go for your everyday mortal life lol Not ready to go for your first NHL game. Huge difference my friend. Let him get his rest, I'd much rather a 100% ready Demidov for his first game.I flew from europe many a time... all I needed was a coke and a nap and I was good to go. And I can guarantee I was not in the same type of shape as Demidov or any of these guys... (well, maybe except Savard)
Really no excuse not to come out flying after yesterday and the Leafs having 5 DToronto is only dressing 5 D, I wonder how this affects this game
I like the idea of playing him with Evans, but who else do you put in that line. I see Evans as being fairly versatile, but IMO his defensive play is his strong suit, which will help Demi adjust. I think Demi needs someone else on this line who can make plays for him to thrive, but I don't know who is the right fit?I don't think I would play him with Laine and Newhook, but Evans might be the safest starting point.
Good, this way there is added pressure on them. We all know the Leafs play so well underpressure lol I don't do it often, but I'm calling for our boys to bitch slap the Leafs.Yeah it’s going to be ugly tonight. Like a 4+ goal loss. Toronto wants to win the division and play Ottawa, not lose and play Florida. Back-to-back for the Habs. They’ll start this game like every other game this week and get demolished for it.
Maybe at rover behind the Dvorak line ahead of HutsonI like the idea of playing him with Evans, but who else do you put in that line. Kapanen- Too young and inexperienced, but stylistically could work
Armia- Too slow, and can't make plays at Demi's level
Heini- More of a shooter, grinder IMO, but might be the best option to start off with.
Gally- Nope, the opposite of what he needs
Newhook- Fast, but lacks vision
Anderson- Same as Newhook
Laine- Great shooter, but not very good defensively, but he seems more engaged lately. Ultimately might be the best fit once Demi can hold his weight defensively, but I think it's too much defensive responsibility to put on Demi, right away.
Maybe. But the back to back is a better reason than if it wasn't back to backThere's little argument to be made that a 19 year old who just traveled from Russia to Toronto, who hasn't met his teammates yet, let alone had a practice or on ice session with teammates and coaches, to go in and play the second game of a back to back.
He will play Monday. Then being clinched or not clinched by then won't make a difference.
Geez I wonder too, maybe they figured out forward checking is an option in Habs land.Toronto is only dressing 5 D, I wonder how this affects this game
So replacing Matheson's roleMaybe at rover behind the Dvorak line ahead of Hutson
When the NHL plays games in Europe do they go 5 days before the games? Maybe they do, I have no idea. Are you familiar, at all, with jet lag?
How did you arrive at the conclusion that he's had a enough time to get over jet lag?
He sure Can.Other than not dressing Xhekaj there isn't much he can do.
bench montembeault tooBench Matheson please
Well if the Habs can’t beat the Blackhawks at home in a must-win or the Canes at home while they rest their entire lineup, they deserve to miss the playoffs. I just can’t see that happening.I have a bad feeling, it will be another loss tonight, none of the games left are a sure win, we could loose them all, make Demidov play asap, it will surely help.
No matter what, the others teams will not win out looking at their schedules.... But I do agree with youWell if the Habs can’t beat the Blackhawks at home in a must-win or the Canes at home while they rest their entire lineup, they deserve to miss the playoffs. I just can’t see that happening.
It depemds on if the better teams they are playing show up. Turd teams like Tampa, Dallas, Florida, Washington, Vegas will always shat the bed when you want them to win.No matter what, the others teams will not win out looking at their schedules.... But I do agree with you
