GDT: Game 80: Habs vs Leafs, April 12th, 7 PM | CBC, SN, TVAS

I flew from europe many a time... all I needed was a coke and a nap and I was good to go. And I can guarantee I was not in the same type of shape as Demidov or any of these guys... (well, maybe except Savard)
Good to go for your everyday mortal life lol Not ready to go for your first NHL game. Huge difference my friend. Let him get his rest, I'd much rather a 100% ready Demidov for his first game.

I don't think I would play him with Laine and Newhook, but Evans might be the safest starting point.
I like the idea of playing him with Evans, but who else do you put in that line. I see Evans as being fairly versatile, but IMO his defensive play is his strong suit, which will help Demi adjust. I think Demi needs someone else on this line who can make plays for him to thrive, but I don't know who is the right fit?

Kapanen- Too young and inexperienced, but stylistically could work
Armia- Too slow, and can't make plays at Demi's level
Heini- More of a shooter, grinder IMO, but might be the best option to start off with.
Gally- Nope, the opposite of what he needs
Newhook- Fast, but lacks vision
Anderson- Same as Newhook
Laine- Great shooter, but not very good defensively, but he seems more engaged lately. Ultimately might be the best fit once Demi can hold his weight defensively, but I think it's too much defensive responsibility to put on Demi, right away.

Maybe the right move is to start Demi as a 13th forward...

Yeah it’s going to be ugly tonight. Like a 4+ goal loss. Toronto wants to win the division and play Ottawa, not lose and play Florida. Back-to-back for the Habs. They’ll start this game like every other game this week and get demolished for it.
Good, this way there is added pressure on them. We all know the Leafs play so well underpressure lol I don't do it often, but I'm calling for our boys to bitch slap the Leafs. :D

Maybe at rover behind the Dvorak line ahead of Hutson

There's little argument to be made that a 19 year old who just traveled from Russia to Toronto, who hasn't met his teammates yet, let alone had a practice or on ice session with teammates and coaches, to go in and play the second game of a back to back.

He will play Monday. Then being clinched or not clinched by then won't make a difference.
Maybe. But the back to back is a better reason than if it wasn't back to back

Other than not dressing Xhekaj there isn't much he can do.
He sure Can.
He could take timeouts when needed. Instead of using his ipad.
He could play 7defs.
He could just sit Savard whos washed
He could replace Pezetta or Kapanen with Demidov and Roy.
He could mix his powerplay combination
He could healthy scratch Armia since he's injured.
He could put Hutson on the left
He could stop over playing Mardeson 30min a game.
He could stop being an idiot and overplay a .890 goalie.

He can just keep chewing gum i guess

Armia really needs the the rest of the way off, bro can't even hold his stick most of the time.

In their celebration when they won against the Redwings I was watching him and he took his stick with his other hand just to not be in pain and stuck his injured arm close to his chest so no one would fist bump it by mistake.

They even cropped out his arm in every photos of Armia on their social medias.

Hein - Evans - Pezz for tonight and Demidov in against Chicago.

I have a bad feeling, it will be another loss tonight, none of the games left are a sure win, we could loose them all, make Demidov play asap, it will surely help.
Well if the Habs can’t beat the Blackhawks at home in a must-win or the Canes at home while they rest their entire lineup, they deserve to miss the playoffs. I just can’t see that happening.

Out top-6 are in a less than perfect situation because we don't have a legit offensive 2C. So you either slot there a solid defensive shut-down C or a second-rate offensive C. A good solution does not exist.
