MBN can't get here soon enough me thinks. We just don't have anyone to really win board battles on the top two lines..... Kasper, Raymond, Veleno might be our most eager fowards on the forecheck. So often we just dump it in and no one follows up

Missed the first 35 minutes, didn't think we looked bad in the third but couldn't bury our chances.

Also think the hate on gus, on the power play, isn't deserved. He's lousy at es, but he moves and works the power play better than seider right now. Would still sit the guy.

Agreed. Ghost was always a highwire act. I can understand missing him on the power play but there's starting to be this notion that he was somehow the keystone to the red wings puck possession.
Maybe from some. Myself personally, I'd take the PP specialist who comes in as advertised. He was bad defensively no doubt, but did help to elevate the PP. So far Gus is just...... well the discount version, which maybe we should have expected

I only saw the tail end of the second and the third period but seems like they were better offensively, but they're gonna have to buy the goalies extra sets of pads because giving up this many shots they're gonna be in tatters halfway through the season.

Yeah Kasper also does this very well. Honestly I would really like to see us flip Kasper and Kane in the lineup. Kane is good but he is so f***ing nonchalant. I really liked what I saw from Kasper in flashes today and I would like to see him get more of an opportunity.

Gus has been disappointing for sure. I was hoping what he lacked in Ghost's offense he would make up being less bad on the defensive side of things.

I can start to see things clicking with passes but then other times he botches simple plays like he's using someone else's stick. Hopefully he settles in.

The biggest positive from this game is that Seider was moved to PP1.

Maybe Gus will be healthy scratched game.

The biggest problem is our breakouts.

Nah, some of us have been calling his replacement trash since the ink dried and had to listen to an offseason of posters telling us(me) how this guy was better defensively, and not much of a fall off.
I'm sorry you were so harshly harrassed about Gustafsson.

But me saying the ghost fake lore out there is bullshit has nothing to do with that.

I think in general our d-men could interfere more standing guys up at the blueline. They don't really do a lot to slow down forwards entering the zone.

Kane really is odd to watch.. when it's working I find it hard to complain, but when it's not it feels really easy to call out his nochalant style of play.
