Meh. 6.5 million is a fair contract for a 1B/2A forward, and by the end of his contract I still don't see him anywhere below the 2nd line and 25-30 goals if he plays on the PP. Hardly an albatross.

Sure, probably accurate. It was mostly tongue in cheek because sarcasm is my way of coping with frustrating Rangers games. But it depends - prior to last year he was a 50 point player. If he stays a 50 point with leadership and some PK and all that, it’s not that bad of a contract with the cap going up. If he slips at all with age over the next year or two, the end of the contract may not be great. Definitely not boat anchor albatross as we’ve had in the past. Mostly just joking about the anomaly of a player getting their retirement contract BEFORE their huge career year for a change.

Gauthier has shown me more in 1 period then Krav has in a few games.If this kid could only finish,he would be a solid bottom 6 player.

Other than his one dash to the net ever game or 2, he just doesn’t contribute or stand out in any way, despite his size/speed combo.

Kravtsov actually played OK last game. I don't really know what else he was supposed to do. If he's getting scratched like this in favor of Gauthier and we're keeping Reaves in the lineup that's not a great sign for him.
