The Pezz look is killer, but he didn't kill his teams chances of a playoff series like Meth Flanders did with his spazz. Was it Shit Filet aka "Ned" or Pezz?
I don't like that. With Pacioretty injured he'll be distracted keeping an eye on whether he's fakingDoctor Recchi
Do Habs have a clear starting goalie or is it basically win and you play.
He'll be too busy in the back row of the theatre spying.I don't like that. With Pacioretty injured he'll be distracted keeping an eye on whether he's faking
Also, Allen's track record is that he's better when playing the work load of a backup. They don't have a clear starter. Montembeault's play last year muddied the picture in that he played better than Allen. Before that, Allen was the #1.
Now they have already ran three goalies in the first seven games, and theres no definitive answer which way they are going, although I think it has generally been assumed around here that Monty would have the opportunity to get more starts than Jake. He's the younger guy, and at least shows some promise, so it only makes sense for a team in rebuild mode.

It seems like since Price went down, Allen wanted to secure his spot on a NHL roster and jumped at the chance to be the sort of caretaker 1G while we develop the real successor to Price (TBD). Having Monty and Primeau is decent depth but we of course haven't seen either completely relegate Allen to backup status. I think we'll see either Primeau or Allen dealt, but it will depend on whether we trade with a contender or a rebuild teamYeah, I think when Allen was initially acquired by Montreal, the idea was for him to give relief to Price who was probably already having knee problems. Allen was coming off a good year and was probably scheduled to handle somewhere between 40-45% of the starts to keep price sustainable.
It's a totally different picture now.
It's different. But he's still a great backup, and can be used to backup an up an coming young goalie. We just have to find that up and comer. I think Montembault will be given the opportunity to take the number 1 spot. He just won't be given the spot after a preseason like he had.Yeah, I think when Allen was initially acquired by Montreal, the idea was for him to give relief to Price who was probably already having knee problems. I would take Allen over either Edmonton or LA goalies though.I still think of Allen as a capable 1b. He can be a mixed bag but he can still absorb more starts than the conventional backup, and it's that mixed bag that prevents him from being a viable true #1

Wait. Are we trying to make the playoffs or Effin off for Demidov? What am I rooting for?I still can't believe we are not in da playoffs. Today's game is crucial. It's a 4 point game. A measuring stick game. The game where team has to give 200%. Nos excuses!!!
