I really like what Crouse bring to the Hayton Keller line. I'd like Pitlick to be swapped with Caggiula to get something similar going on the top line.

He’s not necessarily wrong. Hayton has done absolutely nothing at the pro level. However it is too early to call him a bust.

I think Hayton is having a nice game. Should even have an assist if Kessel didn't flub the wide open net.

I did not like what I had seen of Hayton coming into this season but I think he's shown more consistent skill and effort than any forward save Garland and Maybe Dvo. He needs to play on a scoring line. Still think they should go:

Keller Hayton Schmaltz
Crouse Dvo Garland
Cagguila Brassard Kessel

Kessel didn't flub the wide open net -- he decided to pass instead of shoot. Bad decision which makes absolutely no sense. Shooting for the open net (and missing) is one thing, deciding to pass up an open net to try to force a pass (which is what I think happened without seeing the replay) is something else entirely.

You all know I defend Kessel more than anyone else on these boards, but seriously what was he thinking. He's a 10 year pro he knows better

I'll take that. If Keller can do that consistently he is absolutely worth the >7m. Consistency is the key though.
