Again, it makes zero sense as an excuse considering they are consistently better in the second half of these games. They should be starting strong and have tired legs at the end if the problem was fatigue.

That is a good point. There is no reason good reason for them to play like garbage every first period.

LOL yes my argument that a team playing extremely condensed schedule in short period of time, affects teams energy makes no sense.

The fact the team nutted up and perservered to go 6-0 isn't the flex you think it is. And it most certainly shows they aren't disinterested.

Sens doens't Tkachuk. And look at the score. Imagine Sens with Tkachuk. The score will be worse.

Sens were ready to play. Habs weren't simple as that.

Refs being uselessly incompetent is nothing new.

Can Senators keep up that level of play? We've seen in other games that most teams can't.

We'll see if Montreal can pick it up in 2nd period.

I feel like we are using the "Rocky" strategy every game. Let the opponent tire themselves and then start to attack.

Can't work every game

This team could still miss the playoffs quite easily imo

The lack of intensity yet again is insanity especially for their talk to proving what they can do and keep the team together

Lots of time tonight left but man, nut up

The Avs were smart to sell high on Newhook. Hughes needs to think twice when teams offer up their young players for 1st rounders going forward like Dach and Newhook types. There's a reason why they're available and it's not often a good reason.

Lack of interest, lack of preparation, lack of proper game planning. Call it what you want to call it. It’s just not fatigue. You don’t get stronger the longer you exert yourself physically if you’re tired.
