It can be. My "career" ended on a similar nothing hit. Instead of dislocating my shoulder impacted and tore a bunch of badness. 10 years ago and I still can't lift it over my head for more than a few seconds. Obviously hoping for the best and it doesn't have to be serious. But sometimes you really can't tell until you so the tests later.

Just went back and watched the Doughty injury, he is still able to reach down with only his left hand on the stick and block a passing lane later on that shift, could he possibly have gotten hit on the head/ear?
