The Sharks lucked out with no Kopitar in 2011. Looks like they'll hit the lottery twice with no Doughty in 2014. BS.

Losing Doughty would hurt, but we are a lot stronger team than we were in 2011.

I don't want them to be reckless, I want them to finish their checks and match physicality. Their third and fourth liners are perfectly content to piñata us every chance they get.

I get that this is our third in four nights and it's clear this game means more to the sharks than us (hell even MARLEAU is hitting) but I don't like that we are just laying down.

Some of it I'm sure is playing with exhaustion and down our #1 dman but at some point it has to be Clifford or Nolan looking around and going **** off Wingels I'm not going to let you run Martinez without taking your licks too.

This is perfectly said ^.

That is all I am looking for too.

Should be a sign of where we are really. I respect the sharks talent, but we have a good freaking team.

Play is about even despite the 3 in 4 nights b2b with our backup goalie, mostly no doughty, and the Kings having nothing much to play for while the Sharks are going full bore. Don't get me wrong, I'd like a better response, but man do I love what we have going.

Yup lol im surprised how we look right now, and then looking at the score being one goal difference.

More of a wishful thinking on your part since he's never played even a second of professional hockey. Let's see how he does down in manchester before we insert him for a round of playoffs.

Yeah I agree. Obviously McNabb or Schultz would get the call before there was a thought of Gravel. But let's see how he does in Manchester before talking about him playing a playoff series in LA

Williams played with a separated shoulder in the WCF's last year.

Depending on where in the progress and the severity you can play "through" it but it's impossible to play fully. You subconsciously avoid contact with the should which can really effect your game. And it's ridiculously easy to hurt it again worse. It's not a good injury to have once, since it becomes a reoccuring thing. Hopefully it's a stinger or sprain, if it's an AC separation Doughty will likely be ready to play at some time in Round 1 but if might not be at full effectiveness and could be something that comes back in future years.

Gravel would do just fine for one playoff round.

I am ok with Gravel/Forbort/McNabb any of these guys being called up.

Me too.

I doubt that KG would get a shot, it isn't our style but I could see McNabb getting the call up if we are going to do so.

McNabb looked solid this season with a very very very bad Buffalo team and since he has the NHL experience he would be the likely call up.

Not really, said the same thing about Doughty, Hockey IQ is what separates fringe Defenders from NHL one's.

Gravel has that in spades.

Gravel/Forbort/McNabb anyone of these guys would do just fine.

McNabb is the likely call up, which he deserves, he has paid his dues.

I would only add that Blake is just one example of a highly competent D man who finished his NCAA time and stepped onto an NHL team right before the playoffs and did an excellent job. It happens more often then most people think.

KG is absolutely one of those kids who I believe could make that jump but with McNabb in the mix I just don't see us bringing him up.

The Kings are a **** team. They can't figure out whether they are a finiesse team or a physical team.

****ing go after them. Sissy boys at work.

Muzzin looking surprisingly beastly on the boards.

I hope the kings do a crazy training get together over the summer again. I could see muzzin being an absolute bull b
