Just remember who's on the blue line. You shouldn't expect us to look better than last year when we're icing essentially half an AHL team right now. Not "regression" so much as "traded away our goalie, our 2C and top point scorer, our best two defensemen, and one of our top 6 wingers for futures, and replaced them with AHLers... and the one AHL D who started looking like a real NHLer broke his shoulder."I will be honest. I'm not that excited to watch tonight's game. The past couple of weeks has shades of last year's garbage and that's not great. Team obviously regressed and top line has stagnated/been poor. I got a breakaway pass for tonight so I'm gonna go regardless, but man, it's rough to have any semblance of hope.
All fair points, I'm just frustrated lolJust remember who's on the blue line. You shouldn't expect us to look better than last year when we're icing essentially half an AHL team right now. Not "regression" so much as "traded away our goalie, our 2C and top point scorer, our best two defensemen, and one of our top 6 wingers for futures, and replaced them with AHLers... and the one AHL D who started looking like a real NHLer broke his shoulder."
So yeah, tonight isn't exciting nor are the following 5 games, but it's almost over and keep your chin up -- shouldn't be demoralizing.
Edit: 3-2 Flames. Their lineup looks horri-bad too so could go either way.
Graf, Celebrini (please god)
Farabee, Kadri, Pospisil
The funny thing is the blue line is actually better than it was this time last year.
No surprise about Mukh - I'm actually hopeful he's full strength by camp. I know that's pessimistic but the AC joint can take a long time to recover to full strength.Mukh is done for the year unfortunately (includes AHL playoffs), no Toffoli tonight
Mukh is done for the year unfortunately (includes AHL playoffs), no Toffoli tonight and a must win game for a desperate Flames team with Wolf in net who has dominated California teams. Flames 4-1
Celebrini
Kadri, Coronato, Huberdeau, Coleman
Kovalenko!
