Only 6 games left to the season. Suzuki and Hutson have been carrying this team for the past few weeks.

I would love to see Patrik Laine wakeup tonight and give us a win. We desperately need that secondary scoring AKA Laine.

Islanders and Red Wings playing.

Sens vs Columbus in a loser leave town match. This will help us tremendously.

Assuming the habs win this one, i actually prefer for CBJ to beat the Sens. This would put us within 3 pts of them/WC1 and still have a 6 point lead over NYR/CBJ.

This isn't a must win game more of a "it would be nice to win." With 3 games in 4 days and that 3rd game back home in Montreal against Detroit, I'd rest guys. Detroit game is must win.

● Start Dobes
● Sit Armia & bring in Roy
● Sit Savard & bring in Xhekaj
● Don't allow anyone to go over 20 minutes, including Suzuki, Hutson & Matheson. 20 minutes maximum limit.

Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Laine - Newhook - Roy
Evans - Dvorak - Gallagher
Pezzetta - Kapanen - Heineman

Guhle - Carrier
Struble - Hutson
Xhekaj - Matheson

Dobes
Montembeault

I think we can win with this lineup and making sure no one is over played.

I get what you mean but clinching is way more important. Doesn't matter who we face, making the playoffs in itself is a huge accomplishment. Let's hope for a Columbus loss so there's one less team to worry about.

You want to face the Leafs in opening round?

I actually want to see Ottawa vs Toronto, and Florida vs Tampa Bay 1st round.

I'm okay with Washington. Their center core is the weakest of the top teams. We out-played them 2 out of 3 games against them. Logan Thompson was the difference maker. We also played 3 different goalies against them: Primeau, Montembeault & Dobes. Each got a game against Caps.

And if you pressure Josi, that probably means he has to do a quick pass to Barron on the other side. Win-win

Josi has been injured since the end of February, I’m not sure he’s playing tonight. In the last couple of games for Nashville, Barron has got the second most ice time for defencemen.

And Thompson as well as the other goaltenders in that division are crap compared to the Atlantic

What's funny is if someone posted this lineup some months ago everyone would take it as a shameless attempt at hardcore tanking

Somehow MSL has them playing at a significant level... and somehow MSL has haters even today. Motivating players to play at or above their station is literally what coaching is all about.

It makes sense... and that's why it won't be happening. Winning line up - ride them till they drop.

I agree on sitting Savard, he's having a real hard time keeping up with the play. But if you're dressing Xhejak then you don't need Pezzetta in the lineup and Heineman should never be replaced by Roy on the Newhook line. Also with Anderson still out you can't sit Armia.
