Not a popular take but I prefer Oh Canada to the Star Spangled Banner.

What in tarnation? Star Spangled Banner is a triumphant anthem that people put their soul into when they sing. You never hear someone sing O Canada with that same passion, it’s a solemn, weak song.

People put passion into it to cover up for the fact that it's a hop and a skip away from being random noise.

I don't care how you feel about America; it's one of the most poorly-written songs of all-time.

In fact, if you feel that strongly about America, you should want America to have a better song.
