Nichushkin is a much better skater and more physically imposing, I don't see the comparison.

This. Nuke is, and always was, a bull in a China shop. He just didn’t know what to do with his tools. He learned to be a two force and bring intense pressure on the forecheck and backcheck while being a fast big guy whose tough to contain and he’s making his name now. Kakko would literally need a testicle transplant to be anything like Nuke.

He is now. Wasn't that before. He had to reinvent his game. Even went back to Russia, to fail even worse back in Dallas. Colorado gave him that last chance, and it worked out.

Both of them are strong possession players. Nichuskin only figured out his offense in the last few years. Well past 26.

That's you watching Nuke from last two years, not even his first in Colorado. He absolutely wasn't the bull he is today.

I'm not talking about production i'm talking about their physical attributes and the way they play the game. Maybe Kakko will impact the game like Nichushkin does eventually but they aren't similar players. I just don't think it's the best comparison for Kakko.

the Nichushkin thing is just a cope. most players like Kakko will remain disappointments not breakout at 26
That's true as well.

And the whole discussion got sidetracked anyway, when people started comparing the playing styles of Nuke and Kakko directly. I was talking merely about the unlocking of the offensive potential. Nuke is now basically a PPG player.

I forgot we do have skills coach Mark Ciaccio to keep teaching Kakko new skills so that gives me hope.

Henrik's gambling commercials inspired me to put $100 on a Levi shutout before the game

A bit of miscommunication here then no biggie. I wasn't trying to compare Kakko to Nuke 1-1 as far as how they play, but both are possession driving forwards who took a long time to unlock their offense.

Kakko will probably never be as aggressive. But I think he could eventually grow some balls. Rantanen did as well (not saying he didn't have them but now he's one of the meanest SOBs out there).

Does Gallant ever do the blender with the forward lines ? I mean that is what they should be doing right ?

I don't understand this dedication to the bottom 6 when you have games to try new shit.
