I actually think the Prout extension is a fire-able offense. Especially for a club with little cap space.

A major problem for this team imho is that our captain just seems MIA. He has been the biggest disappointment of all players imho this season. I just don't even notice him playing. He just doesn't seem to be making an impact on games. If you're not scoring, be extra physical. Do SOMETHING. Drives me crazy seeing him just coast on third line shifts.

Yep, hope we send him out, and name Jenner as captain , or Dubinsky. Sure looks like management overreached badly last season

I definitely think the organization screwed the pooch with the C this past offseason. Duby was the guy who I thought had earned it the past few years and this year he's again the guy who I felt earns it every night. Foligno is a product of Todd Richards imho. He's a nice guy and he does a lot of the right things, but he's mostly rather underwhelming. Moving forward I'd make a strong case for giving it to Jenner sooner rather than later.

Captaincy is just a symbol. It means very little. You don't need a letter to lead. Foligno isn't a great captain, but it's far from the reason the jackets suck.
