Touché! I secretly and very unconsciously hate this team. This line here wins the GDT.

My only problem is when we have to hear how good Mario Ferraro actually is despite him being a fundamentally flawed Dman. Look at the PP goal - what is he doing? He's not trying to clear the screen. He's not tying up the player to prevent the tip or potential rebound. He just screened his own goalie.Yeah, we really miss Zetterlund, 1 point in 11 games with Ottawa.
Some of y'all seriously need to give your heads a shake. We have LITERALLY two NHL forwards over the age of 22 years old. We have LITERALLY three NHL defensemen, and one of them is a 23 year old with 32 NHL games under his belt, and one of them is Mario Ferraro. We have a starting goaltender who will not have an NHL contract next year and a backup goaltender who lost his AHL backup role to an ECHLer.
The Sharks give and shit and Warsofsky gives a shit. It wasn't a week ago that the Sharks outplayed the Leafs. Sometimes kids hit a wall, and vets go through cold streaks. This isn't an effort problem, this is a talent problem.
You have no idea that "Ostapchuk is not going to be anything" and 26 years old is not young.I still don't like the Zetterlund deal. Ostapchuk is not going to be anything, so ultimately they upgraded a 4th to a 2nd for a young third line winger. I don't think that was worth it.
Genuinely can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.Yeah but with a just a few smart moves Grier can have us pushing for the playoffs next year and we should be going all in
Did we or did we not learn from Zetterlund's terrible 20 game stretch in 2023 after we acquired him? And he was an older established player than Ostapchuk is. He might be nothing, but I refuse to jump to conclusions after ten games on the fourth line stapled to Barclay f***ing Goodrow. My only problem is when we have to hear how good Mario Ferraro actually is despite him being a fundamentally flawed Dman. Mario was trying to box out Colangelo, but he just didn't have the muscle. Georgie didn't track it and everyone else was sort of just standing around. My only problem is when we have to hear how good Mario Ferraro actually is despite him being a fundamentally flawed Dman. yeah the other day when I said they used up all the remaining fun for March against the leafs, what I actually meant was the remaining fun for the rest of the season. This team isn't even entertaining bad anymore.

You're the one that loves to write off players after short NHL stints. You have no idea that "Ostapchuk is not going to be anything" and 26 years old is not young.
Ostapchuk is 6'4" 215, skates well and has heavyweight potential. He doesn't need to score to be something. You're the one that loves to write off players after short NHL stints.
Ostapchuk has 4 points in 56 NHL games. 39 points in 84 AHL games.
Maybe he could be our Jeffrey Viel.Ostapchuk is 6'4" 215, skates well and has heavyweight potential. He doesn't need to score to be something.
Still a better outcome than paying Mr. 1 point in 12 games the 5M/year he was asking for.Maybe he could be our Jeffrey Viel.
You: He doesn't need to score to be effectiveStill a better outcome than paying Mr. 1 point in 12 games the 5M/year he was asking for.
How exactly does Zetterlund help a team win when he isn't scoring? Does he kill penalties? Win faceoffs? Throw big hits? Drop the gloves? Kill plays defensively at even strength? You: He doesn't need to score to be effective
Also You: SCORING IS EVERYTHING!!!
It's hard to see where the d talent is going to come from. The UFA market is not good, which would leave a trade of some sort.I just hope we can win a game.
Sure, but let's look at his stats:Ostapchuk is 6'4" 215, skates well and has heavyweight potential. He doesn't need to score to be something.
Usually he gives up 4 or 5 before he turns into a Vezina candidate. Maybe he's improving?I’m more surprised Georgiev has stopped all three shots this period
