It's such a frustrating game to play against the Hurricanes. They always seem to have their sticks in lanes and tie guys up at the right time, so even if there looks to be some room it's not really available. Really have to be a step ahead compared to playing other teams if you want to create anything. Rangers have definitely improved in that area and it's showing.

To be fair, we played a type of period that would've put us up 2-0 against a lesser team

Lol. I have no real big love for Strome, but there's no way I move Strome off PP1 and put Laf in. LOL. Laf isn't even next in line for PP1. Come on now.

Im not saying he is either. Im just trying to give you the logic behind the move. The idea is to get Laf going and in doing so make the 3rd line more valuable in the playoffs.

Carolina looked like they were focusing on playing defensively first and actively doing defense things if that makes sense. Like they're treating this as a practice.

I only saw bits and pieces though.

Nah they are treating it like they are the away team and therefore cannot play matchups as easily, so they are playing on their heels more.
