Hutson has locked up the calder, right? Another multiple point game from him. I think our d is headed in the right direction, there's nothing wrong with Guhle, Hutson, Reinbacher, Carrier, Matheson, and struble/xhekaj.

I wouldn't have Hutson and Guhle together.
I don't mind doing that for a bit since Guhle is struggling a bit with the rust. Once he's fully back up to speed you can give Hutson back to Struble.

I agree, though I have reservations about him starting in Montreal. I guess my point is that there are probably several improvements required, and while more scoring will help, that really isn't the priority.
By all means, replacing Savard with a better RD will surely help keep a few more out of the net.
Unless we plan on making one of our LDs and RD then we’ll need two next year. Savard has to go and RB is coming. We’ll see how that shakes out.

I think two of Matheson, X or Struble are gone. I think X is the most likely to stay. We’ll probably get a vet RD. And we absolutely must get a 2c.

1# D? Mf have you been sleeping all through this season??? Both Guhle and Hutson are top 30 Ds in this league.

Monty is a top 20 G.

Johnson saying 87 points might get a spot. That seems really low.
Can any of these teams get 87 points with only 8 (NYR) to 10 games remaining? Whoever does it has to win the majority of their remaining games, which none of these teams looks capable of doing. They may have to accept 85 points, or cancel the WC2 for lack of interest..

Hutson's ability to play RD really changes the future of this team. You can play a decent defenseman like Struble on his strong side with him for 20+ minutes a game, opening up the spot beside Reinbacher for a guy like Guhle. 2 strong pairings both capable of winning their matchups and playing a lot of minutes.

It all comes down to whether he's more comfortable there long term or would prefer if all else is equal to be placed back at LD. But it's not out of the realm of possibilities. I mean Karlsson did play with Marc Methot in otttawa

He may be right it’s just insane that 87 points gets it done.

What I don't get is dressing Pezzetta. There is NO WORLD where his 5 minutes are more important than dressing 7 D's even if it's just in case that you lose a D along the game.
I’ve come to the conclusion Xhekaj is a media / fan creation, low hockey IQ

Hutson is a lot worse at RD. It is not an option.

You don’t want him on his wrong side for long. And RB will be an ideal partner for him.

Is he though? He's been excellent there with Struble over the last little while. He's pretty solid defending on the rush there, and it makes more sense to have him going right-left on the blueline than vice versa since he doesn't like to walk the blueline backward skating.
