I thought the effort was there. We just don't have a lot of skill and puck creativity outside of RyJo and he's saddled with Horton.

This one's painful.

I don't think the club did anything wrong out there. C-Mac's gotta stop that first one. We had a lot of pucks right in front of Fleury, but he does a great job of coming forward in the butterfly and gives you nothing.

The score reflected our play. I'm not saying we didn't play hard; but it was too easy in the defensive zone most of the night for the Pens.

How about:

letting in two soft goals

Having no effective offense-skate down the boards-throw it blindly into the middle and pray-not a good strategy

Good PK - but then again a lot of chance to practice it.

Good D for the most part.

How many times did we have the puck loose in the crease with multiple guys trying to whack at it? That's not good defence if they let us get that far. It's just bad execution, and a good job by Fleury.

I would rather have that then no playoffs. I don't care if that effects the draft position, I want the players to get some playoff experience. Once they have a sniff, they will be hungry for more the following years.

I agree.
Comeau doesn't really do anything other than take foolish hit from behind/boarding penalties. I'd rather have Tropp in, or as you said, Jack Skille. Even in a 4th line role Skille was scoring goals, and that's what the team needs - goals. Enough of that damn grinder crap, which, by the way Richards, has not won us many games.
He's trying to duplicate the low-scoring games of last season, even though up until a month ago when we were filling the net, we were just fine.

Has Todd Richards lost his mind?
