Trouba has always been terrible at defending the blue line, because he has horrific mobility when pivoting.

Not scoring on a 2 minute 5 on 3 sets the team up to lose the game. This team can’t afford to not convert on chances like that.

This is why Gallant is the worst coach. Has his team completely unprepared to play. Refuses to adjust. Refuses to take the lead as the guy in charge let's his players dictate the system and do what they want. He's outclassed these two games. One coach is getting maximum effort and results from a lesser roster. And one coach who has a great roster is getting nothing out of them.

They don't even need to skate like their families are in mortal danger, they can just hit them. Again, they can't properly brace themselves skating like psychos and they'll get f***ing wrecked and slow down. It's not hard, it's just mildly uncomfortable.

But they like being comfortable, so no owwies. Not enough pride. Too successful.

this team is too predicated on being the "nice guys" of the NHL.
I am cautiously optimistic that they can show some real psychopathic bite in the playoffs, like a real championship tier Hockey club, but if this really is a preview of what's to come it's so f***ing over.

Quinn also had the team unprepared to play constantly, and at a certain point you realize the coach doesn't matter if the players don't want to f***ing come ready to play and instead go for a twirl. How many more coaches before you realize its the leadership core. Because it is.
