Post-Game Talk: GAME 72 - Down and Out in Beverly Hills - Los Angeles 7 BRUINS 2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Just an unbelievably horrendous season. It all started with Sweeney not signing Sway before trading Ullmark. OVER-paying Swayman when he should have drawn a line and stood by it even to the point of trading him. But no, he got taken to the wood shed and beaten out of $8.25 million for 8 years.
After that, like domino's the problems, the bad signings, Monty's holding out to be a lame duck coach. It all just collapsed like a house of cards.
Sweeney didn't have an answer for it, no foresight before the holidays (ala Harry Sinden) to stop the bleeding with not just firing the coach but make as big a trade as he could at the time to shake the team up.
After the 4 Nations series he started to pay attention like the team was on cruise control until then.
IMO he let them rot on the vine to show the fans that drastic moves had to be made.
He knew that they sucked. He knew that he built the team down to a dud, a joke. THE worse Bruins team in decades IMO.
He finally acted at the TDL and cleaned house.
He did a great job at the TDL and got some great returns.
IMO he should've manned up earlier and given Brad an ultimatum and pulled him from the lineup at that point.

Major surgery to the roster is what was done.
Now we have scars, big scars.
Where in the first round will they land and WHO will they pick?
If Sweeney values his ****** he'd better not blow this.

Ya, that's great and I'd love to see Swayman in a fight but I'd also like him to stop a few pucks. He, along with the bad free agent signings, is directly responsible for this team's rapid collapse. Now maybe in the long run it'll actually be a good thing, because a slow decline usually means an equally slow rebuild, so this total collapse means we might actually get some young talent on this roster sooner than later.

We might however, have to get used to several years on the outside of the playoffs first.

Cam needs to swallow his pride and go on Felger & Mazz and say something.

Don't let Charlie near a microphone because a few weeks ago he said 'We look at success as Stanley Cup wins.'. In 51 years of Jacobs ownership that number is ONE.

Sacco is gone but who do they hire to coach?

I don't have answers right now.

Folks relax. Double up on meds if watching the Bruins

This is a 30 day tank to get Desnoyers or Frondell or McQueen etc

Celtics did it, Red Sox did it, Patriots did it ….teams do it

It will be over in 3 weeks and we will know our pick

I suggest not watching and pretending their is honor in this shit

It’s all about the best opportunity to get a high pick

Zadorov sums up what I have been thinking all along. The guys are pissed off at Swayman and play harder in front of Korpasalo

What's Zadorov got to be pissed about? So it's OK for him to want the big contract but not Swayman? What has Zadorov ever accomplished in the NHL? Got a sweetheart contract based on a very, very small sample size.

If guys in the room want to be pissed off, be pissed off at all the penalties Zadorov took this year.

This team could wind up with a worse record than the Dave Lewis' 2006-07 team.
🤯 The fact that this is even possible is insane.

I never thought we'd have a repeat like the purgatory that was the Dave Lewis era, but here we are.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. From last year to whatever the heck this team and organization is. Disgusting

You’re a smart guy and I guarantee could come up with minimum three significant differences between the two situations
