Post-Game Talk: GAME 72 - Down and Out in Beverly Hills - Los Angeles 7 BRUINS 2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

The elephant in the room. We aren't allowed to bring it up but what is the biggest division in our lives right now? I don't believe for a second that it isn't affecting the room, just like the rest of the world. I have said that in the past and people just don't want to believe it.
I'm confused are you saying some players like one political party and some players like another political party and it's preventing them from liking each other? If so they've got massively bigger problems than I realized. Obviously not getting into politics one way or another just wondering if that's what you are alluding too or have seen anything.

If putting ketchup on your steak should lower your credit score?

I imagine he or she means liking or disliking Swayman.

Edit maybe not.

It's truly unbelievable how truly bad Swayman has been this year.

Looks like an 8MM albatross in year one. Woof.
Neely should be asked about his 64 million reasons and if he is getting his monies worth...........the duck something will be flying through the air, better hope it is water bottle and not you.

I think this goes beyond money. There is something seriously wrong between Swayman and the team. I think it’s beyond his holdout. Be it attitude. Be it taking responsibility. I don’t know. But there is a clear divide between him and the team.
Swayman has been bad for sure take the 2nd goal last night. 4 Bruins in front of the net but none of them covered the scorer. Fundamental hockey is lacking no? So frustrating to see.

Ouch. That is not good.
Bottom line, the way I read it, and maybe ask the players that are no longer here, did Swayman destroy this locker room single handily, I don't believe so, but he and his I will set the market bullshit was a major factor, in what has happened. Bruins should admit their mistake and move on. Swayman's popularity is diving, worse than the stock market crash of 1929.

Cam needs to swallow his pride and go on Felger & Mazz and say something.

Don't let Charlie near a microphone because a few weeks ago he said 'We look at success as Stanley Cup wins.'. In 51 years of Jacobs ownership that number is ONE.

Sacco is gone but who do they hire to coach?

I don't have answers right now.
Yes, the Jacobs family has ONE cup in 51 years. If we stretch back just a little further, the Bruins have THREE since the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. Two out of three in the ‘70s.

There are two ways of building that have been successful for the Bruins since WWII:

1. Locate an underage phenom who will grow up to become arguably the greatest hockey player who ever lived. Then, pursue him and his family relentlessly to sign a contract. While you’re at it, pull off a major heist by essentially stealing a top ten all-time goal scorer from an Original Six rival.

2. Bring in a General Manager and a coach from outside the organization with fresh ideas. Use good drafting and a HUGE free agent splash to completely change the culture and revitalize the franchise and the fans.

Those are the only two paths that have worked for the Bruins since their 1941 Stanley Cup win. In my humble opinion, I think the Bruins should take a really hard look at option number two.

Fake tough guy, like his fake business guy persona...........fake,fake,, fake
See this is nonsense. This is who Swayman ALWAYS has been. Was it fake when Tim Thomas did it? No.

The offseason negotiations and his terrible performance is what we should focus on as a negative. Swayman challenging the other goalie for a tantrum on a mild at best collision is not the issue.

Give credit when it is due. Swayman has this part naturally.

Just finished watching 2nd and 3rd this morning. Don’t know why I feel compelled to watch every minute of the season :skeptic: Swayman becoming a clown show in addition to not being able to stop pucks. Probably would have gotten pummeled if the refs let that happen. Personally I think he was trying to get tossed. Just get on with the death march.
Red Sox opening day on Thursday:towel:
I can't imagine willingly starting my day watching that, why would you do that to yourself???

Is Swayman trying to act like Jordan Binnington?
Not a good look

The end is near friends. Ride out the next few weeks…..get ready for Montreal and Toronto to lose in round one 😂😂😂 and with the warm weather on the way there are better days ahead……because this cannot get any worse!

I seriously do hope Swayman has some soul searching after this year. He needs to come back as a leader not a side show next year and stop pucks. Period. Too much ink about other things for him 👎
He will never be a leader, any chance of that left when the train left the station.

Highly doubt it.

Who would this even be coming from?

Marchand was the captain, a Canadian who if you are paying attention can guess the political ties to, but he’s gone. who else on the team has some kind of prominent view on politics that also has a leadership role?

I don’t buy it.

The team is shit because it’s missing half the defense, we had a coach who apparently quit on the team and a mediocre one took his place, an underperforming goalie, and not enough help on the wings and center. It makes perfect sense to me why this team fell backward this year.

If I were Cam, I wouldn't go on 98.5 except maybe the Sat morning show. Felger and Mazz know nothing about hockey and have said they hate the sport.

Too bad there isn't a real sports radio for hockey.

He could just go on morning Bru provided they can cut some time out of discussing siding and landscape ideas to give Cam some air

I'm greatly displeased with Swayman this season, but I'm not going to put words in his mouth

For the millionth time, "setting the market" does not equal "not ruining it for the next guy."

Shhhhh the anti-Swayman crowd doesnt want to hear that. In all seriousness though, I thought goals 4 & 5 where really the only 2 that were bad goals for Swayman.

Bruins remaining schedule.

Anaheim and Chicago are really the ones left that could be competitive, but I'd take just about any roster in the league over this one at the moment.

Depending on how Wednesday goes, they very well could lose the rest of the year.
