Been to every home game this season and this is definitely in my top 3-4 games of the season (LA Kings 7-2 win in Nov, Kraken 8-5 win, etc). Leafs are my 2nd team so was exciting to see us beat them in OT and Smith/Celebrini shoot-out goals. The Graf shortie, 2 Toffoli goals and Eklund/Woll OG combo, etc. What a night. Tank was packed and Leafs fans were loud. Fun night all around even though we closed in on the Hawks. Missed out on warm puck though. Really wanted one but they apparently only had like 9-12 and the line was 20 strong by the time the anthem started.

Super fun game to watch. You can see a lot of pieces starting to fall into place.

I have been high on Mukh for a long time. He's absolutely not flashy yet he consistently makes good plays and has a calming presence.

I thought Graf had the potential to be a solid third line guy but his play recently makes me think his ceiling is closer to an elite 2nd line all-situations winger. Getting that for (essentially) free is absurd.

Desharnais, Goodrow, and Woll were the worst things on the ice tonight and it was not close
Leafs should have traded Woll for Georgiev. Graf will definitely be a solid 3rd liner and sometimes a solid 2nd line 2-way guy. Maybe with Celebrini to wreck opposing scoring lines.

Tank was electric. Shame it had to be in a shootout but the atmosphere inside was nostalgic. So freaking loud in there

I took a couple of work buddies from Toronto to the game tonight. The atmosphere was great. For sure Leafs travel well - the tank was like 30-40% leafs fans; which was fun. Such an entertaining game, it had me and my buddies (and the whole crowd) fired up.

But when you say it was loud, was it just because you were also sitting next to the black out drunk middle aged lady that aggressively catcalled Ferraro all night at the top of her lungs.

“Who’s your favorite player?”

“Oh, funny I thought we just did this 4 minutes ago, but yeah I like Will Sm…”

“I LIKE MARIO FERRARO!!! HE’S MAH FAVORITE!!!”

/leans in closer to me

“MAAAHHHHHRIOOOOOO!!! FERRRRRRARO!!”

/four minutes later

“Who’s your favorite player?…”

lol my mom and sister sat in front of the Leafs fan starting the Go Leafs Go chants in 117. My brother and me were in 116. We were surrounded by Leafs fans on our side but even 115/101 had a ton. Mostly transplants I imagine but we ran into some Leafs fans retirees doing the west coast trip with the team. They’re going to the Kings game next.

I randomly came across this video on the NHL twitter feed. Many things wrong with this play from what I can tell.
  1. Cagnoni should have released OEL as he was going back up to the point
  2. Grundstrom got caught watching the puck on the strong side and should have covered the passing lane towards Laughton once Cagnoni pressured up the wall.
  3. Wennberg was in the middle of the slot in no mans land. Another leafs player was wide open on the weak side for a cross-ice feed.
  4. Goodrow did a great job screening Georgiev in front.
Ugly all-around TBH.
Credit to Warsofsky for a lot of good stuff as this season has gone on, but having Cagnoni on the ice with Desharnais, Goodrow, and Grundstrom against the Leafs has to be some kind of malpractice. And this was definitely not the first time for that!

I liked the twirl Smith did after scoring his SO goal. You could just see how much more confident he is on the ice compared to early in the year, when after a shootout miss, he just looked depressed. Looked like someone who felt like he didn't belong on that ice.

I wish we didn't blow a 2 goal lead in the last minute, but these kinda wins are great. The tank is loud and the kids look like they are having a ball. I wanna see more of that. Screw trying to secure last overall.

Did Desharnais tell Cagnoni to chase OEL to the boards and leave Laughton wide open for a one-timer from the middle of the offensive zone?
I didn't think Cagnoni had a good game but that was the only mistake that led to a goal against and it's his 3rd game. You can at least pretend a little harder to want success for the players in our lineup when they are in there.

Gotta give my hat to Steve Dangle and his group for coming in San Jose with that positive energy and promoting Sharks hockey just in the right time.
These are the type of moves Sharks needed to take right now and I'm glad they did. You could actually see how easy it looked for SDPN guys to do this and it goes both ways, SDPN will get their share of attention. I'm just glad that the hype train has started, because it can mean more than we know. The Future is Teal baby!

God, the Cali Fin sweaters are so clean. Wouldn't mind them as the full time home unis but happy they're the Thursday kit. I'm glad I got my 71 Celebrini when it was still Adidas.
Could do without the large white-teal-white wasteline stripes. Otherwise, they're great.

They’re dope. I went with Asky on mine and Celebrini on the road whites. Feeling a tinge of regret right now, but when I see Askarov’s smile in the NHL again, that’ll probably change.

I got my Adidas Celebrini as well and the nameplate is already halfway falling off after like 3 months. I need to find a place to stitch it. I purposely avoided Fanatics for this reason only for it to happen anyway. Why are we still iron-glueing patches to sweaters??

I want to see the Fin logo on the teal and white sweaters, it might be a whole sale improvement over the current main kits

I love the Fin logo but have never been a fan of the Sharks wearing black jerseys, I'm scarred by that era of playoff hockey

I honestly love the stripes because it makes the jersey undeniably "Sharks" even from the back, IMO these are by far the best black jerseys the team has ever worn

I bought that era of black only for us to lose nearly every game in them.
