But guaranteed many people in Washington were complaining that they were better off without him in past seasons and I think there's a truth to what some have been saying.

Fair point. My bad if i came off a little rude. That wasant my intention. Chemistry is a weird thing to evaluate though. Can the team preform well without a player for a few games? Yes they can but without ovechkin in the lineup for a while that would mess the team up as they look at him for the offense

I still remember that game a couple years ago where we had like a 3 or 4 goal lead with like 10 minutes left and that ******* scored 2 in like 30 seconds to make the rest of the game really hairy.

Maybe we just like Christmas more than other people. Sometimes people leave their X-mas decorations up into mid June (looking at you Anoka county). Could be because they are lazy, could be because it is too damn cold to go out and do it right after the holiday, who knows.

In theory yes. Anaheim for example played a preseason game against a FEL team a few years ago.

I look at it this way. Let Ovie be in the lineup, if we are going to prove ourselves as being a playoff contender, you gotta go toe to toe with the big dogs and win some of those games. Can't sit there and be timid just because a team has one of the best players in the current NHL. He's not on the ice every shift, the defense will smother him, things should be alright.

It drives me bonkers how there is always this undertone that seems to linger with this fanbase "oh man, we are doing soooo good right now, we can go deep............so long as we don't run into anyone tough!" not sure if it is the whole Minnesota sports team stuff that people always bring up, but I say screw it.
