GDT: Game 70: Red Wings at utah 9:00 pm et 3/24/25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
with his reach hes hell on the d side of puck for opponants . i would not doubt because of his height hes a real late bloomer
If he internalizes the fact that he doesn't actually need to go around a lot of NHL players he is going to help make this team pretty hard to contain.
Sure, he should go to the net, but turning him into a traffic cone in front of the other goalie would be a big waste.

I only watched the first and just saw the final score now. I'll watch the rest here at work.
Hooray. I guess?
Not seeing the point of starting to win games now.

Were the shots really 18-14 for the whole game?

It goes to show how reactionary fans can be when we have an elite 23 year old top pairing defensemen and after being in a slump for a few games he is suddenly overrated, not a top pairing defensemen, and has an abomination of a contract. 99.9% chance that once this little slump is over with he will return to being the defensive anchor of the entire team and detractors will disappear.
Its just two people saying that and at least one of them is simply trolling for reactions.

Did Watson look serviceable enough in his role? We need 4th liners like him who just crash and bang. A lot I feel have pointed it out here lately but we are really a soft team and our bottom 6 gets bullied often. If we grab some straight muckers who are decently young and can also do some scoring, we wouldn't quite as bad off imo

Happy for the dude getting his first as a Wing though

Didn't watch the game but sidenote cause I was watching the highlights; Ken and Mick always with the best calls. Glad we can appreciate them still after so many years :clap::clap:

I can see him becoming a Mason Marchment kind of 40-50 point guy that moves up and down the top 3 lines.
now adays i only watch redwing games so dont know many players league wide , other games have become boring to me when i can sit here on a 44'' monitor and read about anything over earths history on the internet . i now prefer learning on youtube to watching hockey games

WOODYS DETROIT/UTAH HILITES :

That looked like a super sloppy game. Also this team needs to get meaner.

I’m ok with having a 4th line of plugs if they’re shit disturbers and tough guys that aren’t liabilities defensively. But we gotta do something about making our 3rd line realgud then.

I loved him on that line. The goal was great obviously, but that's a crazy one. Overall the whole team looked like it actually gave a poop. Sadly that hasn't been true to my eyes the last few.

Of course! But I don't want it to turn out like last season. Then it was all for nothing and you'd rather be a few places better in the draft.
Statistically there isn't much difference between a 9th OA and a 14th OA pick. The real difference is with the top three or four picks and everything thereafter.
