GDT: Game 70: New York Rangers vs Toronto Maple Leafs - 7pm ET, MSG 2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Man, I'm so glad these boards barely existed in 2000. What posters would have been saying about Adam Graves...thank god he got to retire as a (rightful) fan favorite and team legend despite playing his final couple seasons with a broken body.
Kreider was a very good player for a long time who was clutch, but he always had his warts.....nights off, shied away from physical play, the Bromance. He will be remembered as a very good Ranger but its time to end this for both parties.

Stats aside, these players are night and day different when it comes to willing to do whatever it takes to win. Graves never took a night off and never backed down from anyone. He could have pulled a Matt Rempe statline and he'd still be a fan favorite. Plus Graves was an integral part towards winning a Stanley Cup. You get a lot more slack when you are a winner.

Those players never quit on their coach, the team or their fans. This bunch, with only a few exceptions, are scum and dishonored the sweater.

Graves in 99-00 looked so much worse than Kreids looks right now. And Graves was one of my favorite players at the time. We were just a more patient fanbase and weren't so reactionary.

It goes both ways. 8 months ago, fans were calling for Kreids number to be retired...
