Anyone else find it odd/disturbing that it's so easy for Torts to let Kassian flounder away on one of the bottom six lines, yet he can bring up Jensen, whom they didn't think was ready for the show, and plop him right into the first line? And it's not like Jensen is some defensive stalwart, which was the reason they were holding Kassian back.

Torts just doesn't like Kassian.

He has actually been good defensively though.

Don't forget he was immediately put on the top line, and he has flourished so far. That hasn't happened here in a long, long time. Not even with Hodgson.

Losing will force Aquilini to make changes. Hopefully Gillis would be fired, Tortorella would be fired, and we would end up with a high draft pick to draft a highly skilled forward that this organization needs so badly. Winning achieves nothing since we aren't going to make the playoffs. If anything, it might give Gillis more opportunity to talk his way out of being fired.

Making the playoffs will force changes. That's likely to happen. We aren't getting into the top 5. Lots of good picks in the next range. No need to lose. Winning is much better. Especially for the rookie goalie, although I feel you're just hoping he fails, which I find sad.

Coaches always have players they pick on for whatever reason. He's taken some dumb penalties but I doubt Torts should hold they against him
