Carlo loses focus a lot.Effort I cannot question but seems slow in thinking department.

He's very young. Decision making will come with age & experience. You know what "they" say, D don't fully mature until age 28. Until 25 or so, live with the mistakes. After center & goal, D is the most difficult position to learn, and to execute.
