Honestly - there's part of me that thinks getting Perry back in the lineup for game 7 would be good.

Guys got 10 game sevens played in his career and has 9 points in those 10 games.

I'd consider taking Foegele out for him.

Hopefully Henrique is good to go too.
Yup. I’m not sure how it messes the current line combo up, but in a game 7 winner take all, I think Worm’s greasiness in and around the net needs to be in play tomorrow night.

Perry in, Brown out.

History has shown that there are players who can be “Mr. Game 7”. Where the most important game brings out their best. If Perry has a history of bringing it in game 7, it should be a serious consideration for Knob.

Just play a steady, heads up game. Finish your checks. Don't make blind passes into traffic. Don't force the one timers.

Loosie goosie in the o-zone, relaxed and disciplined in the d-zone. They may not have depth production like Vancouver, but they have McDrai. That always tips the scales for me.

Same goes for you f***ers too!

LOOSIE GOOSIE RELAXED AND DISCIPLINED :D

If you are saying it historically doesn’t favour the Oilers then you are implying it favours the….
I think it is more that the Oilers (and fans) shouldn't read too much into the fact that we won big in game 6 meaning much for game 7.

I remember in 2006 someone saying they shared an elevator ride with some Canes players and how they were all dejected after big loss etc.

I said it before last game and will say it again. This is a legacy game for McDavid and Draisaitl as Oilers, could be the end for this group if they don't pull it off but it's right there for the taking if they want it bad enough. Of course luck might very well come into play but one of their every other game half assed efforts isn't going to cut it so go out and take it because I bet anything that the Canucks will come storming out of the gate and will put it all on the line to win. As is usually the case with the Oilers, the fate of the game is on their sticks.

Perry's too slow and not helping at all. 10 games and he's a -3, 6 PIM, with a whopping 11 hits......
Carrick is at least throwing hits, 16 in 4 games, no penalties and is just faster, drew a big penalty last game. Perry's just not getting anything done, and his age is really showing.

Best of one. Need to weather the first ten minutes and play with the lead. Fully expect a reset Canucks work ethic, more mid-range shots especially from the flanks, and net front traffic. Their goal will be to force Skinner to make stops. Oil need to establish their puck possession game beginning with sawing off face-off results to start with the puck and push offensive zone time 200 feet from their net. Oilers experience and veteran composure should be a strength.

Crazy that the playoffs go deep into June now. Our summer's are so short here in Edmonton that I usually don't waste my time watching playoff hockey once the Oilers are eliminated.
Regular season was only 80 games then and first round was best of three. We need to get back to a more condensed schedule, more back to back games. But the spoiled players union would never go for that.

*ahem* losing Sekera in 2017, losing Roloson in 2006. Drai shredded ankle in 2022...Mike Smith having senile moments... playoffs suck and it gets to every team. ours definitely a lot. I feel bad for the player, but there's no excuses to be made here if we win.
