We all did from 2-4. I has sure Columbus would draft Lindstrom. I has not so sure about Chicago and Anaheim. The ducks took us by surprise with Sennecke at 3.
Seravalli was saying that morning that Anaheim was taking Sennecke. Chicago was the wildcard.

It’s too bad they were good till they weren’t. Too bad Lang went down when he did. He was great with those two
Good god, Robert Lang, it's all coming back now. Remember the legendary thread '

"Darkest Day in Habs History"

'Guys cops are at the airport ready to arrest the Kostitsyns for their mob ties and trafficking crimes!'

All i remember is Jacques Demers crying on live television and "everywhere cocaine" on hf.
Good times.

That's him next to 6'2 Kuzya btw. Bobrov working overtime shopping Demidov now.

Was that close to the time of the infamous Space Goat thread or the Ryan O'byrbe purse snatching debacle? Man what a dumpster fire this franchise has put itself through lol. I remember starting a thread called Bowling for Carbonneau after he was fired for his team outing, and was banned because Bowling for Columbine was a movie not to be mocked.

Sorry i'm all over the map tonight, drinking Gin, going down HF memory lane.

Man is he skilled. Some of those plays were unreal. Goalie stole a goal where he would have had an assist. His skating, strength and shot are all improved from last year despite the injury this summer. He's getting reps in the KHL with many rinks being NHL size. He'll be ready next year for sure.

He has some swag when he carries the puck, I think he still adapting to the speed of the KHL from the MHL but he is still showing some flashes here and there on what he can become. I still would like him to work a bit on his one-timer and his snap shot in 1 on 1 situation. He has the making a star forward that is for sure. Maybe not Kucherov but maybe more like a Fedorov.

He played well enough that Igor had him playing critical minutes if that counts for anything.

I agree and disagree. He definitely has some swag. I think he’s already fully adapted to KHL speed, he already has a half step on Ds in foot races. I agree he has to work on his snap shot release in one on one situation to boost it from amazing to super amazing. Litterally no comparison goes too far. The sky is the limit.

In the beginning of the season, I would very happy with only 30-35 points for him.

But if he continue to play like that, he is going to put more than that. Soo that would be a very fantastic news.

Just gonna copy/paste for those who don't have twitter (sometimes the website is glitchy on mobile).

Marc Denis (RDS): “In the case of Ivan Demidov, are you just letting Roman Rotenberg take care of his development, is there constant communication with SKA, do you know what’s going to happen in the next year because sometimes it’s a bit complicated with young Russian players.”

Kent Hughes: “I can’t tell you if we know at what point (we’ll see him) since he belongs to another team & he’s under contract with them…We’re following (Ivan Demidov) closely & Nick Bobrov is in communication with them…we have to respect that he’s their (SKA) player & (the KHL) is a professional league where they play to win. But we’re following him & there’s a possibility we’ll be going to see him (in Russia ).”

The last bolded part is interesting...

He'll come over next year, our coach's character is a magnet for young players. After all, he would'nt be the first to cross the Atlantic on the Spirit of St._Louis!

SKA playing 4D chess trying to punk Montreal by surrounding Demidov with bad influences. First they sign Kuznetsov, now DeAngelo. Who is next, Kassian? Formenton? Nichushkin?
Iron sharpens iron, steel sharpens steel. Demidov is gonna come out of that maelstrom a better leader and person. Even Therrien will approve!!
