He best years, he was getting a lot of mileage out of the kind of insane athleticism you can only count on having in your early 20s.

I asked this a couple games ago….. was he only good because he was freaky athletic and that compensated for his lack of technique?

And now his older, less athletic self can’t overcome his lack of technique?
 
Place all the blame on Gibby that you want, but the goalies have zero margin for error. Call it bad luck or whatever you want, but at some point, these guys have to start putting the puck in the net

Remember when we thought we could actually get assets in return for Gibson?

Now we would have to pay extra to get someone to take him.

How many season has Gibson been crap for? Its about time we call a spade a spade he hasnt been good for like 4 years

When he came into the league he swam a lot and gave up a lot of rebounds. It was when he cleaned that up that he became so good. But it feels like he just stopped caring about that and is back to flopping and he looks like he just gives up on cross ice plays a lot and overcommits to the side he's on. I hope Dostal starts getting more starts against the better teams, Gibson is just so uninspiring.

yup. gibson has let in some bad goals but he's stop some good chances too. can't always expect your goalie to post shutouts or allow 1 or 2 goals and expect to win. the rest of the team *couch Terry *couch *couch Zegras*cough need to step up and start doing what they're paid to do.

how many seasons has he had an ahl caliber defense in front of him with the leagues worst coach?

I just think he used to be a great goalie and now he's an average goalie.

Gibson is playing like someone who has no confidence (in his game or the team) and doesn't want to be here. Hope he turns his game around over the course of the season but it isn't looking good now.

I’ve been critical of Gibby as well and the 3rd goal was not good rebound control, but excluding the Carolina game, this team has scored 9 goals through 17 other periods. I think the Ducks have scored 5 goals TOTAL in front of Gibson this year, not good enough

At this point it might be worth looking at change of scenery type moves.

Buffalo/Devils/oilers/hurricanes def need goalies

Terry has been arguably the most disappointing player this year.

He got his big contract, he needs to figure it out. At least watching zegras outside of last game hes played pretty well.
