GDT: Game 69 (snicker): Avalanche @ Habs, Saturday March 22nd, 7:00 pm | City, SNE, TVAS

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

The way both Islanders and Rangers played their games annoy me in general. Its basically play boring optimistic hockey and hope your goalie steals the show. It can work but doesn't fully feel earned

I don't think many will disagree that he's the #1 at the moment, but a tired Monty is a bad one.
Not many goalies can play a lot of games these days, especially someone who isn't used to it at this level like Monty. I agree, unless Dobes isn't reliable, he should get the start. Especially since Dobes has already played against the Avs and Monty looks like he could use a break.

Rangers tied in points with us....but they have played 3 more games. Not the end of the world that they won....but it would have been outstanding if they lost and we won giving us a 4 point cushion with 2 games in hand. Unfortunately for our draft pick in the west, we need Calgary to beat the Isles this aft.

Playing for .521 with 11 games to play is not that great for them. They need to play way above their heads to make it.

While I find goalie bashing over exagerated,

Dobes still should of started tonight lol
He should have started Thurs. night given the Islanders style of play.
I also attributed a couple of stinkers to fatigue the game before.
Take the puck to the net and hope for the best is the Islander's play book.
Dobes eats that stuff in tight up.
Two of those goals would never have gotten past Jakub.
I have no confidence in Montembeault for this one either I wonder how the team feels.

My concern with Dobes has been that he has not been good on home ice. No way I would expose him to the M&M duo tonight.
