GDT: Game 69: nice Red Wings at knights 8:00 pm et 3/22/25

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Ed has potential but I can’t see Seider being anything more than a poor man’s Weber. After his rookie season you’d think he would add to his game but he really hasn’t. He has to learn to defend or he’s not getting 25 minutes a night on a team that’s actually good. He can’t even crack 50 points riding the coattails of the 2nd best PP in the league. Ed outpaces him this year if he’s on the PP

Based on what exactly? Ed’s development has been right on schedule. If he doesn’t plateau in his rookie season like Mo he passes him easily. Ed could go out there and put up 40 points playing his minutes and finishing a -10 and be a bottom 10 team like Seider does. Not a huge ask

He still plays among teh hardest minute sin the entire NHL. Something all you Seider haters miss is that none of the other top dmen, yes including Hughes, Makar, Slavin, and the rest, play minutes nearly as difficult as Seider's.

Seider isn't the issue with this team. Raymond isn't the issue with this team.

The issue with this team is that beyond drafting those guys, Yzerman has filled the rest of the team with quite literally the worst free agents and trade acquisitions in the entire NHL. Compher is terrible, Holl is terrible, Gus is terrible, Chiarot is bad, Petry is terrible, Copp is net zero, Tarasenko is horrific, Motte/Fischer are horrible 4th liners. We likely have the worst depth among all the bubble teams by a massive margin.
