What they both have in common though, is that they can both watch the game from the press box and their teams can still win games.

But he's a 4th liner and the only reason people watch is because they think he'll fight which has nothing or at least little to do with the game. I think he's a good player but not one that I would buy tickets for ever. Imagine having three of the best players at their positions and Rempe is the reason you watch games.

As much as fans were looking forward to Rempe's return and Rempe was eager to get back on the ice, the coach has to put the team's needs ahead of an individual player's. I'm sure Leafs captain Tavares didn't appreciate getting bumped to the 3rd line, returning from injury, but as coach you have to reward players who succeed when they step up to the plate and don't try to fix what ain't broken.
Seems weird to bring this rule in after so many years...
