We've talked about ESPN broadcasts not feeling big and I think the announcers have a lot to do with it. These are the best they could find?

Gary, Doc, Kenny, and even Forslund gave you a sense of occasion.

McDonaugh and Levy sound like they're reading the phone book.

For all the hate Doc got, he loved this sport, and would make a boring game sound exciting. McDonagh would rather be calling a SEC football game at 3:30 on a Saturday.

Splitting things up makes sense. Everyone is in their optimal spot. Panarin, Zibanejad, Kane, and Tarasenko all belong on the wall in a shooting position with their handedness. It’s awesome.

In general, the last 10 years ESPN has been bleeding money and they've let all their talent go and it shows. All of their sports broadcasting has suffered. Their best decision in the last decade was the Manning bros MNF.

Criticizing a power play for being successful because you want the other guys to be successful is "small minded".

These are 1A and 1B power play units. Whoever was on the ice last goes 2nd and whoever they're playing against isn't calling one or the other the "first unit". They both are.

Watching old playoff highlights, its night and day with these buffoons and doc. We took doc for granted in those times but he always brought excitement to the games.

These announcers are an abomination.

Agreed I never liked Doc compared to Gary Thorne but Doc is way better than these duffs.
