I don’t think they’re so bad. Joe and Sam have just become unbelievably biased. McDonagh and Ferraro did, however, miss the cause for the huddle in front of the net earlier: Igor wasn’t mad because a Penguin landed on top of him; Igor was agitated because the player whacked him on the glove after catching the puck. Surprised there’s no penalty for that.

Watching old playoff highlights, its night and day with these buffoons and doc. We took doc for granted in those times but he always brought excitement to the games.

That's a big piece of it. The closest announcer they have to those guys is Bob Wischusen but he's not their main PBP guy unfortunately.
