GDT: [Game #69] Dallas Stars vs. Philadelphia Flyers – 1:00 PM CT (Victory+)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Great job by JRob to attack Ersson there and not let the Flyers get easy possession

Harley just randomly appears when he senses a goal

Rantanen is not the problem. Hintz and Robertson were both terrible with the puck. At least he was trying to make plays

That line just isn't going to work. It'll continue until it's changed

I do think the effort was there for Rantanen tonight though. Nothing you can do about the chemistry not being there

Also, I know the Heiskanen injury sucks but it's working wonders for what the future holds for Harley. He's a genuine #1 Dman and I'm not sure we ever would've truly known what he's capable of without this injury

As we all have figured out, the coaching staff likes to stick to things. It's unbelievable they were double-shifting Miro on the PP all this time

Jake's weakness has been figured out looks like. Defense probably needs to be working on shutting down these chances...

DeSmith for comparison. I'd imagine DeSmith's chart would look pretty different if he had to play a starters workload.

How much of this is related to defensive sides being so different, though? DeSmith not having the same chart challenges that notion, but there's a bit of the same pattern and DeSmith has a smaller sample size, especially without Heiskanen.
