Just a terrible game. Blue Jackets sucked, Canes sucked, and the Refs realllllly sucked. The pre-season description is accurate.

Dubi keeping it real:

@RobMixer: Brandon Dubinsky: "My line and (Johansen's) line, we did nothing. The team relies on us six to be a big part of wins & we weren't there."

Back from the game. Everyone on our team sucked except Bob, Dano, Hartnell, Foligno, and Wennberg.

Had to be the most boring 5 goal game that I've ever attended in my entire life.... I've went to two games in the past month and a half... those two games were tonight's and the home game against Jersey a few weeks ago..... ZZzzZzzZzzzz

I honestly think Joey has hit the wall due to lack of conditioning. His big point streaks came when he was fresh and as the season ground on his production has decreased. A lack of conditioning plus a still maturing playing out the season in meaningless games at the end of the year is not exactly the recipe for setting the score sheet on fire.

I expect much more from Joey next year with a full training camp, no offseason distractions , and a fully engaged Joey in a playoff race.

I suspect it's more mental than anything else. I doubt it takes 4 months for lack of conditioning to hit.

I personally don't think Johansen has been all that bad. He's still back-checking hard and has still been using his hands well, making good plays. He's just not finding the opportunities he was earlier in the year - maybe he's playing injured and none of us know it?

I don't think it's fair to be down-trodden on a guy who's had such a great year after not participating in training camp. You can say that's his fault or whatever you want, but that's the facts.

It's funny how many people were all-in for Phil Kessel. You guys think Johansen's cold streak has been tough...? Kessel is one of the streakiest scorers in the league.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Dano-Hartnell have gotten extremely hot while Johansen has gone extremely cold, it's because he draws all the top defensive matchups. We may see this script completely flip in a few games.

He's been drawing the top defensive matchups all season. Nothing has changed.
