Post-Game Talk: GAME 69 - Buffalo 3 BRUINS 2 F/OT - Westward Ho!

wrong on so many levels with all due respect
Totally here for debate. Bruins need massive moves to get better. Their farm system is barren. No top end help coming from there. Their 1st rounder last year Dean Letourneau has a total of ZERO goals this season at BC in 34 games and only 3 points. Granted you get McAvoy and Lindholm back but you are still about 6-8 good players away from being decent. I don't think Sweeney can draft so that will also impact the rebuild. No big free agents are coming for a rebuild.....

6-8 more good players? There aren't any teams in the NHL who have 6-8 "good" players, never mind 6-8 more over a Rocket winner, and a legit #1 and #2 D. Teams have 1 superstar, two if you are the Oilers or Toronto, a couple good to great others, and a bunch of ELC prospects, aging vets, or bottom of the barrel AHL types to round out the bottom 2 D and 4th line.

Such is the way of the salary cap.

Yes....yes they do.
He's just a better goaltender.
I posted this before, but this helps us see the difference.

Korpi. Quick! Attentive! Agile!View attachment 994708

Swayman. Slow lateral movement. Inattentive. Dopey. Too much lasagna.

This also helps us see how cooler Star Trek is.

Do they really play better or has Korpisalo just gotten the easier games for majority of the season?

Of his 20 starts this season, 10 of them are against bottom 3rd teams in the NHL. Only 4 games have been against top 10 teams as of today's standings.

I disagree..I think Stanley Cup teams have 6-8 good, foundational type players...look at Washington - they got Ovie, Wilson, Strome, Protas, Dubois, McMichael all with over 50 points....thats not counting Oshie or a defense with Carlson, Chychrun....Dallas has 6 players over 50 points...Bruins have 1.

Protas had never broken 30pts before this season and McMichael had a career high of 33pts before this season. Are the "foundational players" or just having career years because the entire team is hot. Wilson has a single 50pt season in his 12yr career and he's on pace for almost 70pts this season.

Are these the new norms for these guys or just a career year that they won't replacate again.
