Avs will need big defensive improvements over last game to have a chance in this one. I wouldn't mind them playing the same type of game - fast, counter attacking, good effort through all three periods - just the play in their own zone needs to be better. If they're constantly stuck deep, resorting to desperately chipping it out right to a Ducks player waiting in the NZ it's going to be a long night.

Avs have had a ton of these 8pm starts, at this point they're too regular to really even consider them late starts anymore.

I think it has something to do with NBCs Wednesday night games and them not allowing certain starts times that would conflict with "rivalry night," or at least I've heard something along those lines.

Might have something to do with allowing the game to be on at a "prime time" for Anaheim locals, as it would start at 7pm for them.
