In case they make the playoff when the Habs season is OVER? What's so hard to understand?
Because they actually have to get to the playoffs and those 2 would help down the stretch instead of playing meaningless end of the year games in Montreal. I understand there's injuries and I get they want to evaluate players, but you have to have a successful ahl team. There are plenty in the ahl that are usually near the top.

I’m not a big Primeau fan but to be fair the expectations the previous Habs management put on him were too much for a 7th rounder.

Just the fact that he could be a backup goalie in the NHL would be great for his selection rank, it’s unfair to him to judge him as “not good enough to replace Price”.
The problem too is that management put all their eggs in the Price basket and never bothered to draft a potential blue chipper. The Fucale pick was a bust, Lindgren wasn't good enough, Primeau was a 7th rounder and showed some promise, but I think he'll get passed over soon. Maybe Dobes can turn into something? Luckily Monty looks really good, but they need a guy in the pipeline.

Wasnt that true last week as well, and the week before?
Showcasing/Evaluating Primeau in the NHL…

but again we go into hyperboles. Making the po in the AHL is not as important as some make it.
Good for Heineman, Struble thats about it. Will Dobes even play?

He may not get a chance, depending on how the 3 teams do over the last few. I'd expect Cleveland and Belleville to compete until the end.
