save your breath... he's a moral superman for many fans.., unfortunately as we've seen, the team sinks without him in the lineup. Now I love the guys' heart, but he's not built for the style of game he plays, and he is positionally irresponsible. He plays really, really hard.. but he's dumb.. sorry he's no Girardi.

No one has said that. Lindy is a big part of this team no matter what.

So is Trouba or Goodrow or Kreider or Mika and everyone else this board that they feel should be upgraded. The original comment was directed at the posters who thought he should of been upgraded. "Its the now we will find out how important he" ignoring the absence of another first pairing caliber player.

This was bound to happen the way Lindgren plays and how often he gets banged up. Fluke injury sure but lots of posters saw this coming. Lets not pretend he doesn't get drilled regularly and way more than any other Ranger.

I respect Lindgren in fact he was major in that playoff run a few years ago. But I think the Lavi system has given him some issues this season. Id rather see him focus on D than shooting/passing pucks into skates in the ozone. Had a great assist today but 9 times outta 10 it becomes a dead offensive play with him.
