At Chicago in the regular season since 2013:
1-5, 11GF(1.83), 19GA(3.16)

The Hawks have scored first in all 6 games in Chicago. 6 different guys have scored the first goal in Chicago, surprisingly none of them Kane(he has 4 first goals in 5 regular season games in LA), and the Kings have been down 0-1 or 0-2 between about 6 to 10 minutes into all 6 games in Chicago. The Kings have scored more than 2 goals in 1 of 6 games, and the Hawks have scored at least 3 goals in 5 of 6.

No real secrets. The Kings have to outscore Chicago to win, like in the 2014 playoffs, because they can't shut them down. Or, not that they can't, but they haven't shown an ability to shut them down. They pick Quick apart pretty much every time, and the Kings are basically always playing from behind early. They've played Chicago 23 times in the regular season/playoffs since the start of 2013, and have scored first 5 times. None in the regular season, home or away.

Lucic/Weise might add a little bit of dislike to what has otherwise been a mostly non-confrontational match up, even with 12 games in the conference final between the 2 teams. Most likely not, but maybe.

as soon as they picked up weise I got more excited about a potential western conference showdown (should both teams get there)

I feel like losing regular season games against the Hawks/Ducks is good for this team.

Oh it's gonna be on NBCSN? Get comfortable cos this is gonna be embarrassing. After today, everyone will be like Hawks>>>>>>>Kings on the main boards.

You would think they're 20 points above us in the standings the way everyone talks about the Kings.

I have no beef with the reverence for the Hawks, but the complete discounting of the Kings continues.

Wife has been in labor for the past thirty hours. Wish us luck. We're expecting a baby girl any minute. Send us energy so we can bring one more Kings fan into the world!

Congrats buddy! THis will be the biggest win of the night! No greater adventure!

Do not do this with Scuderi

Dude. We did it the moment he arrived in LA!

Well no, that's my point; they're barely ahead of us in the standings and in cup numbers, but ever since the Ducks passed us in the standings for a day, you would think the Blackhawks are a cup lock and the Kings are a middling playoff bubble team.

this is pretty much how almost everyone here in Chicago seems to view the state of things aside from a crazy small minority who actually respect the Kings as a rival.

not surprisingly, that day in 2014 was one of the best days of my entire life

Funny how the mentality of those fans works considering how the regular season went for the Kings in 2012 and 2014.

This Kings team is just as unpredictable as those squads, though I'd say the biggest weakness with the current team compared to the two Cup winning teams would be blueline depth.
