Gallagher's mom recently died. She's been battling brain cancer for a couple of years now. It happened on the West coast Calgary-Edmonton-Vancouver-Seattle swing, so he was close by when it happened.

All of his teammates got together and hired a bus so they could visit him & his dad at their Vancouver area home.

He just announced it today. He needed a few weeks of privacy.
