GDT: GAME 68 | AVS @ SENS | One Foot In Front Of The Other - Avalanche, Matt Good | You Made Me Turn This Into A GDT Edition

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

This is a thing with Ullmark. Two years in a row bruins decided swayman was their best bet in the playoffs after Ullmark completely shat the bed.

The sens were atrocious against Detroit.

Bad against Philly.

Bad after like the 10 minute mark against the bruins

And bad against Montreal. This is simply a continuation force trend.

Sens were atrocious in the latter half against Detroit. Sens never had long periods of bad play against Philly (In which they were on a b2b). A few bad moments is normal. Sens had an ugly last 10 minutes of the second against the Bruins, otherwise played the Bruins exceptionally well. Sens had a single bad period against the Habs...

I don't know guys. If we don't come back tonight the pressure is going to be on on Saturday. Can't go on another losing streak. All it takes is one of the chasing teams to go on a hot run and that 90% will go lower and lower.

Highmore with another failed clear on the PK. I see a pattern here. Dude does not belong on the PK, let alone a regular in the NHL. Green’s bias for former canucks is costing our team.

And this is what I've been saying. Not worth shuffling lines during a game when we're losing badly as it just created more chaos. These changes needed to be made two games ago.

A more proactive approach is desperately needed from Green.
Why worry about more chaos when the game is so badly out of hand? Why not try a few different line combinations, pairings or full line shake-up rather than sticking with what obviously isn't working? The mystery for me is why Giroux remains on the 1st line. He has done little to warrant this placement this year. Other players have issue too, sure, but it seems to me Green has a serious issue making veterans earn their position, as evidenced by his never-ending Hamonic treatment.

Edit - not disagreeing with your point about changes needed 2 games ago...
