After a disappointing loss I absolutely fast forwarded through against Montreal, tonight our Sens (36-26-5) host the Avalanche (41-25-3) in a rare non-conference matchup late into the season.

Game 68, coming at you like a snowslide.

I hope one of our regulars still makes a GDT - I like seeing all the media coverage and stats!

Jensen out leaves a huge hole on this team. Not just his defensive abilities, but his puck carrying/joining the rush would be missed. Hammer was strong offensively in his absence. While defensively he was on ice for crucial Montreal goals, the whole team sucked so it's unfair to single out Hamonic for that performance. Either way, I was hoping to give Gilbert some ice time as 7th D and bench No More Highmore or Just There Gaudette from Line 4 so that Zetterlund can get some ES ice time with quality forwards like Stutzle.

If Brady plays the way he did against Montreal, then he is not contributing to the team. I know he had 5 shots, but that is not how we need him to play. He is best to heal and we can exploit the depth with guys like Zetterlund moving up
I tend to agree. Avs are a tough team with a lethal top 6.

If Brady needs to rest, I'd rather he do it now, and give Zetterlund time on the top line.

He was literally beside Habs players and it was comical as they braced themselves for contact and he floated by...

He saw how much pain his brother played through in the playoffs and wants to be that guy. Admirable but he should come out for a game or two if he can't bring his game. That line needs to be our top line.

What exactly has Zetterlund shown in the games he has played that would justify taking anyone in the top 9 out of their position? All three lines have been playing well, Giroux is a HOF when he retires, Perron has a SC ring & a very good NHL resume & Amadio has been great lately. I would even argue that Highmore who I want replaced is playing on the PK rather than Zetterlund where speed is essential. Gaudette who I want replaced plays on the 2nd PP unit where they need more scoring rather than Zetterlund because Gaudette has scored a lot of goals this yr. Zetterlund may have been good in SJ, but has yet to show anything here, it is up to him to push his way up the lineup, not the coach. He looks like another Rudolf Balcers to me, a borderline NHL player.

Let's destroy em!

I pissed off my Avs fan friend by telling him Draisatl is better than Mack. Gotta fuel the salt

We really miss Jensen

we go down to 2 3rd pairs with Hamonic playing top 4 minutes.

Chabot's game sinks like a stone. Jensen gets them out of trouble , Hamonic puts them in trouble

I guarantee you you'd say the same thing about Cozens if he came here and was stuck on the 4th line barely playing 10 minutes a night.

Zetterlund is a point producer, and he can't do his thing playing with two scrubs and very limited PP time. He's being wasted with the way Green is deploying him.

It's crazy that you think he should have shown more in his current role.

Yeah we’re going to offer up a 2nd and a prospect to get you, but you gotta be banished to the 4th line because you simply haven’t proven anything playing with superstars Matthew Highmore and Adam Gaudette in your 8 minutes of ice time.

Also the forwards sucked last game. Why not change a thing or two here?

Last game would have been the time to move him up to try and create a spark, but to be fair we were winning up until the second half of the third.

Guys are looking haggard, and Zetterlund should be fresh since he spent most of the year playing for an ECHL team. They should move him up and basically tell him now is your chance, if you don't want to be bagging groceries in Sweden, show us what made you famous in San Jose.

It would be a good chance to give Zetterlund a look, while practicing load management with Brady.

We can't rest on the 97 percent chance of making the playoffs, because anything can happen - but we have the depth to take the gas off with Brady for a bit, especially against a Western opponent where it's not a 4 point game. I get it against Montreal, there were major implications to that game.
