I decided to go ahead with my playoff wine, I made sure that there are no jinxes attached. The name is because they will need to claw their way in, if possible at all. Serendipity, because if they do make it, it is magical and meant to be. Usually I try to make a name with a player in it but wanted to keep it generic. It is fun to do, so I thought why not?

Hoping for a win tonight! Korpi should get the start in my opinion.

GO BRUINS!!!

Edit: The pic isn't showing up so I will describe the label - just has a note that it is not available.

That Ottawa game was VooDoo. I've never seen so many lucky bounces in a hockey game.

I like this team. Works hard, has some skill and youth. Some sneaky speed and good goaltending and we have a chance in any game. Enjoying the expectation free hockey.

How about that Mittlestadt, eh? Point per game for us so far.
Khusnutdinov flashed his speed and shot on that goal he finally got. Man, he deserved it. That was beautiful.

I like watching this team.

Thanks, Fenway. Comparing the numbers on the sheet, they have three scorers with 30 or more goals, and one 2g behind at 28 (Kucherov). We have Pasta at 34 and the next closest is Geekie with 22. The rest are far behind Geekie. Will have to skate hard today.

They were terrible the first period and a half

The Bruins are hoping to get the most out of this group

The Boston Bruins completely reshaped their roster last week at the NHL trade deadline.

The Bruins shipped out several veteran mainstays, most notably former captain Brad Marchand, for draft pick compensation and a handful of players.

Bruins play-by-play announcer Judd Sirott examined on NESN’s “The Hockey Hub” podcast some of the players the Bruins got back in their slew of trades. And from Sirott’s perspective, Marat Khusnutdinov, Henri Jokiharju, Casey Mittlestadt and Jakub Lauko all have one thing in common: they’re motivated.

Maybe none more than Jokiharju.

“A guy who asked to be traded out of Buffalo, who will be an unrestricted free agent at season’s end. Clearly motivated,” Sirott said of Jokiharju. “I think he was excited the fact the Bruins were in the mix. Whether or not he lands with the Bruins beyond this season, I think that’s still to be determined. But obviously, he has something to prove, and he has something to prove in a different situation.”

The Bruins sure hope that group of players can use the motivation they gained at the trade deadline to their advantage. It certainly seems that way for Mittlestadt, who notched his third point — and first goal — in as many games since joining the Bruins on Thursday night against the Ottawa Senators.

Be interesting to see what Tampa shows up tonight. They may have thought Boston was dead in the water and took them too lightly the first time. They know better now.
