That team is not good. They have massive gaps in talent beyond 6 players. They have a bright future and a solid talent pool but currently they should not be a threat. Ottawa has a better team now, and a bleak future. Need to make the most of it now as in a few years its rebuild time again thanks to Dorion bleeding all our assets

with Staios in the helm I do think we can actually properly retool in the future.

Agreed I think the next rebuild will be done right. But I don’t see a retool happening with empty cupboards. I’d rather rebuild over 4-5 years and be a contender vs re-tool to be what we are today.

Do you know how many times players pick their spot and a goalie simply gloves it down. If Ullmark saves that a lot of people are saying “why the f*** did Hutson just take that shot”. It’s a bad goal from a bad angle. I don’t care with Gretzky shot it

I still think we will get to keep Jimothy and the Snake and most likely Leevi in the future. Tkachuk and probably Pinto goes and we should get a good haul for both. Cozens will probably be traded at that point as well. Batherson either gets traded or walks.
