GDT: GAME 67 | Senators @ Canadiens | Playing with the Big Boys Now Part 1 Edition | Tue Mar 18 2025, 7PM | TSN2, TSN5, RDS

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

With people saying that the minimum points needed to make the playoffs is 93, I'd say as long as the Sens go 8-7-0 forward we should make it, and the schedule definitely looks favourable enough for that.

We’re in a pretty good spot still but I wouldn’t say it’s out of the question that the Habs pass us now.

Why not try better options than Gaudette and Highmore on the 4th?

Why not elevate Zetterlund when nobody’s doing anything

Pisses me off
We should have tried to pick up a few depth players for the trade deadline rather than trading 2 assets + depth in Gregor, for Zetterlund.

Maybe Zetterlund turns out to be OK, but we really needed better options than Highmore and Gaudette.

They keep saying we have no experienced PKers... maybe we should have focused on that.

Looking at our schedule, it’s very possible we’re going to get swept by both Buffalo and Montreal this season lol. We just don’t show up to those.

The “easiest schedule remaining” seems more like a curse. At least the travel is good. I’m pretty sure we’re in the playoffs, but in typical Sens fashion we will probably make it very ugly.

I think Gaudette really took advantage of our team lack of goalscoring all season long. He had his 15 goals early in the season and did pretty much notbing on that 4th line for over 60 games . We need guys that can't acutally sakte check or hit in the 4th line. Highmore an ahl player can't blame him for his effort he just doesn't have what it take. A lot of our D man are playing their worst hockey

The only tangible advantage is home ice.

But we do have that.

I think the early goal is what killed us tonight. It's so important for road games to try and take the crowd out of it early, but that quick goal by Montreal really gave them a lot of energy that they carried through the whole game. I actually didn't mind their game tonight, just some untimely goals, if Ullmark squeezes that rebound then we probably come away with a point against a really fired up Montreal team.

Probably not a good omen during the biggest stretch of the season.

Have you guys seen Ullmarks playoff numbers? I think those numbers may leak into his late season crunch time numbers as well

Montreal owns him. Not sure why. He’s been pretty awesome on the win streak no? Is that not the late season crunch?

Travis Hamonic really f***ing with people's emotions this game.

You hate him before the game starts, love him midway then hate him again by the end of it.
As a top Hamonic Hater on this board I think Ullmark and the rest of the team could have done the bare minimum to at least secure a point. He should be unscathed.
